The joys of family

My mother called a few days ago to 1) see how I was doing and 2) to catch me up. My sister is apparently doing well at Rikkai. She's a first year (class 1C, seat 16) in high school and plays neither golf nor tennis. She chose volleyball instead. I do not understand that, but I suppose she has a lot to live up to. I expect that my parents are being quite lax on her academic achievements thus far. She has it easy. It is incredibly unfair.

She asked me to come visit and while I would rather not, I said I would. Maybe I'll go on an evening that my sister won't be there. I would much rather have a conversation with my parents than with my teenage sister. Eventually, I'll have to make a trip with them to Yokohama... Though, it will be one of those somber visits.
